Director Aleya Sen had cast Taapsee Pannu and Saqib Salim in her first music video and here we are with ‘Dil Juunglee‘ with the same actors opposite each other in her film.

Talking about the movie, a nerdy-cute Karoli (Taapsee Pannu) belongs to a rice businessmen family. She is an English teacher in a college where Sumit Uppal (Saqib Saleem) is a student. The introverted Karoli meets a rather extroverted Sumit and the two fall in love in the first half of the movie. But due to some tragic incident, the two separate only to reunite after 7 whole years in London. This time, both have a very different life and personality, both.

This movie is a no-brainer with a very predictable love story. But with its own moments of sorrows and joys, the movie efforts at staying watchable. Though we’d have loved a little ore humour and some freshness to the rather cliched story, but it doesn’t offer any.

Taapsee and Saqib are going to win hearts with their performances. Both their roles are such that many might relate to them over certain personality traits. The actors have kept their characters look as natural as possible, so nothing goes over the top.

Since the movie is widely shot in Delhi and London, it has a good backdrop every now and then. The movie has a mixture of peppy numbers and soft melodies by Guru Randhawa and Armaan Mallik.

‘Dil Juunglee’ is going to be a good watch if you have no plans for the weekend.
